Mar 12th 2009 Dell 1700n – Makes for A Top-Notch Printer

The Dell 1700n makes for a good printer. It combines a low price, is ready to be networked, looks good in the office and is easy to install. It gives you just about everything you need for a Windows-based small office network or personal-size printer. There are also other Dell printers available for high-output operations, so shop wisely. The Dell 1700n Printer Cartridge is easy to find and use, too.

What to Keep in Mind. Made mostly for small businesses, the 1700n delivers at an attractive price. Really, for this market segment, there aren’t too many other printers with similar features in the 1700n’s price range. It has a duty cycle capacity of fifteen-thousand pages in a 30 day period, so it can handle medium -high print volumes. For the most part, the graphics offered are more than suitable for business apps, though resumes and the like are best done on more expensive machines.

Specifications. Weighing less than 27 pounds, the Dell is easily movable, and at a bit more than 1 foot deep by 1 foot wide by 10 inches high, it won’t take up too much space. It also has a single 10/100 Ethernet jack and USB 2.0 ports for ease of use. There are even parallel ports, which are increasingly rare these days. All of these ports are located at the rear of the printer, by the way. As with most of these machines, you can feed in paper manually or within the feeder tray. It holds about 250 pieces, and capacity can be expanded for a small price.

Costs of Ownership. The Dell uses a standard toner cartridge (1700n) which sits above an imaging drum. Each cartridge is good for thousands of pages (about 3,000), which should be more than sufficient for any home-based business or small network in an office. There are also higher output cartridges, again for additional cost.

How’s Its Memory? The Dell 1700n comes with 32MB of storage, which is suitable for most business apps. If you need more, you can expand the memory all the way up to 160MB. With the cost of memory these days, you won’t be spending a lot of money to do so. The printer is compatible with most Windows PCs, even going back to Windows 98, which has almost disappeared from most desktops. You can connect the PC or networked computers through the USB, Ethernet or parallel ports. It also notifies you via an email when your toner is almost gone.

Quality of the Print Job. With available 1200dpi capability, most documents will come out looking clean and crisp. If you have double-side or more complicated printing to be done, there are easy-to-follow menus on the unit itself. If you need documents watermarked, the 1700n can do that as well.

Warranty and Cartridges. The 1700n has a one-year exchange warranty, which is standard in the industry. You can also purchase up to four more years for a nominal fee. Cartridges are easy to replace and don’t cost a lot.

Should I Buy It? Look at what it is you need from a printer in this segment. If you run a home-based business, most definitely. If your small office needs a good, reliable printer that won’t be called on for ultra-high printing, yes. Solid features, a good price, and Dell 1700n printer toner that’s inexpensive combine to make the Dell 1700n a fairly good deal. For more information, check out our site http://www.qtoner.us.

Mar 10th 2009 Dell 3110CN Printer – A An Exceptional Printer With Even Better Power

If you prefer using Dell’s printers or if you are in the market for a laser printer then you might think about the Dell 3110CN printer, which comes with its own brand of Dell 3110cn Cartridge. This particular printer is a level up from Dell’s 3100CN. In addition to offering monochromatic printing, it also prints in color. That is, of course, a necessity for most printers today. Having a dual printer certainly beats having one of each cluttering the office and taking up space.

In addition to being efficient, this model is arguably one of the most comely printers you can find. Its black and silver styled finish is a perfect match for most Dell computers all the market, so your office suite can be entirely complementary. Now, true, this is hardly the most important detail of this particular model, but hey. Some of us want our offices to look pretty!

This model will handle PCL and PostScript. It has an easy to use control panel. Unlike its predecessor, the place where you put the cartridges into the printer are vertically stacked. This makes it much easier to both insert and remove the cartridges. Likewise, the paper path is also vertical. It has a single pass style. By all accounts, this makes the printer much easier to use.

As with any new model, this Dell Printer was designed to print documents more quickly. To that end, in some instances, it has definitely succeeded. For example, when printing black and white documents, you can look forward to nearly nineteen of them being printed every minute.

The print time per minute is a bit slower for colored documents. Two pages printed each minute is the average here. However, the quality of the resolution more than makes up for the speed or lack thereof. It is a bit slower still when you are using glossy paper. However, again, the clear quality of the resolution is enough to make up for that. All the same, many users are not pleased with the time structure here – at least until they see what the final product looks like.

Back to monochrome printing, however, users have praised this model for how smoothly and clearly it prints. The quality is both clean and sharp. Line art is said to look sharp in clarity, with the lines showing up distinctly and crisply.

This printer also does something that not many laser printers can: it prints photos. This printer is an exception to the general rule. It produces vivid, accurate colors with smooth transitions and detailed renditions of light and shadows.

As you can see, the fact that you can buy 3110cn Toner Cartridge for this Dell 3110cn is far from the only reason that people flock to purchase it. On the contrary, many things speak well for this model. Although some users do not appreciate the fact that it takes longer to print color documents, they do appreciate the clarity of the final products. It does its job as a laser printer. It is easy to see that by taking one look at the finished printed products. In terms of a rating, users tend to rate this Dell model as high above average. Mar 9th 2009 Dell 3010cn – Limited Size, Considerable Power

The Dell 3010cn color laser printer comes to us from the folks at Dell. This particular model delivers networkable, high-quality color laser printing for around the same price as a comparable black-and-white printer. For the small home-based business or office which needs a color laser printer for small workgroups, the Dell 3010cn may be the ticket. It also ships with Dell 3010cn Cartridge; both color and black.

How heavy is it? It’s no lightweight, but at about 55lbs. it’s still a fairly easy printer to move around if you need to. Actually, it’s right in the ballpark for printers in this niche. Also, because it’s a color printer (and most are monochrome), that’s an added upside sure to soothe anybody who has a problem with its weight. It’ll fit in well enough in a corner of an office because it’s a bit over a foot square in size, which also makes it attractive to a small business.

Does it Print Well? Spitting out print at the rate of 25 pages per minute, the Dell 3010cn chugs along well enough for most any purpose. When you print strictly in color, you can expect about 5 pages per minute, which is okay. Also, its 600dpi print quality serves most needs adequately. Additionally, it can print over 45,000 pages before needing any meaningful maintenance, which helps keep down printer costs. Storage of paper ranges from 250 all the way up to 900 sheets of paper, depending upon optional configurations.

Working Well With MS. The Dell 3010cn Printer is able to interoperate with most Microsoft Windows systems, including Vista and XP. Also, Novell and NT 4.0 link up in an easy manner through USB 2.0 or 10/100 Ethernet data ports.

How Much Memory? The 3010cn comes with an installed 64MB of memory that can be upgraded to 576MB. With such a wide range, the unit should be able to handle most any print job.

Warranty Packages. 24/7 on-site service calls are covered for the first year. After that, an additional 48 months can be had for a nominal fee. Home-based users get the non-business version of the same plan, also for an extra fee when extending it out.

Toner Cartridges. The printer takes the standard Dell 3010cn toner cartridge. The ones that come with the printer are rated at about 2,000 pages, but that’s because these are so-called starter cartridges. Replacement ones will print out somewhat more. In fact, some owners have reported going more than a couple years without having to replace their toner. This can make the costs of owning a color laser printer like the Dell 3010cn well within the reach of most budgets.

Summing it All Up. Putting the Dell 3010cn to work is relatively hassle-free and without any drama. Dell 3010cn Printer Cartridge are nicely priced and plentiful on the market these days, so there won’t be a big dent on the wallet when it comes time to replace them. Dell’s 24/7 service can help ease the fears of the small business owner, too. And because it works with most Windows operating systems, there’s sure to be little or no problem installing and running one of these printers. Mar 7th 2009 Dell 2130 Printer – It Won’t Make You Breakfast But It Prints What You Need

Deciding on the Dell 2130 printer is made easier when you consider its facility at producing sharp, clear color and black-and-white text. Also, the price for one of these is an attractive 300 dollars or so, which puts it right in the sweet spot for a start-up business. Add in the convenience of the 2130 Toner, and it’s hard to find fault with this unit. Even color copies are relatively low, which only adds to the 2130’s allure.

Printing Speeds. The Dell 2130 color laser printer can put out black and white pages at up to 20 pages per minute. Color output is about three-quarters of that. This is more than acceptable for small networks or a single user in a home office or small business. It spools up quickly from print command to output, so there’s very little time to wait for any print job to finish.

Installation Factors. With industry-standard 10/100 Ethernet and USB jacks, the Dell 2130 presents no problems when it’s time for installation. For the most part, interfacing it with a PC or integrating it into a small workgroup network is also easy and straightforward. Dell believes in making it easy to use their products, and it shows.

Printing Capabilities. The 2130 Printer is rated at up to 40,000 pages per month in its duty cycle. Its included 2500 page black and white cartridge is good for about 2500 pages, while the color cartridges are okay up to 1000 pages. If you’re looking for a high-capacity printer that puts out color documents almost exclusively, than this may not be the unit you’re looking for.

Operating Systems. The 2130 is compatible with Windows Vista and XP, along with Windows Server 2008, and even Windows 2000. Pretty much all the latest Microsoft operating systems will work with this unit.

Paper Capacity. Standard paper storage capacity for the 2310 comes in at about 250 pages in its standard tray. Adding the optional extra tray brings paper-holding capacity to 500 pages.

How Much Memory? For a unit at this price point, 256 MB of memory is quite good. Plus, it can be increased to 1280MB to handle just about any size print job. When used in monochrome configuration, there’s almost no possibility of running out of print job memory once it’s been expanded. It would be unusual for it to be inadequate for most any print job.

Don’t Forget. As far as replacement printer cartridges go, the Dell 2130 laser toner can be had at reasonable prices, either online from Dell or at several different aftermarket toner cartridge sellers. And because they’re reasonably-priced, costs to the savvy business owner will be able to better hold the line on the cost of printing per page used.

Wrapping Up. The Dell 2130 Printer is a sharp unit. It’s got the advantage of having a strong service warranty from Dell, which can also be extended out for a total of 5 years. It has a large monthly print cycle of up to 40,000 pages, which should be more than enough for most small groups. Dell 2130 Toner are also relatively inexpensive, considering the value one gets from them. Also, they’re pretty widespread, so there shouldn’t be any worry about not being able to find them when it comes time to reorder. The colors are also clear and sharp, and the 2130 can print out at speeds up to 20 pages per minute in black and white, and 16 pages per minute for color documents. Mar 5th 2009 Getting Toubles with your PC

The Compaq monitor for my computer was beginning to go on the fritz on my Compaq Hewlett Packard desktop computer. The first sign of trouble occurred when I noticed that the screen seemed as if it were shaking sometimes as if small ripples were running across the page. Then, certain sections of the screen would seem to freeze. I knew something was wrong with the computer and I hoped that the problem lied in the Compaq monitor and not the computer itself. Finally one day I turned the computer on and the monitor just stayed black. I could hear the pc running as usual so I was fairly certain that my monitor had gone bad.

I went to my local electronics store and explained my problem. The salesman agreed that it probably was the monitor and suggested that I should try buying a replacement Compaq monitor and hooking it up to the computer to see. If it was more than just the monitor, the salesman informed me that the store would return the new monitor if I returned it as long as there was no damage to it or that I could keep the new monitor and still pay a discounted price on an entire new Compaq Hewlett Packard computer if I had to buy one. It sounded like a win-win situation to me.

I looked at some of the newer computer monitors and was amazed by the high quality monitors that were offered. Modern technology had done well in improving television sets and other electronics but I had no idea how clear a computer screen could be. Especially since my monitor had been looking like a moving stream for the last few months. There were widescreen monitors, high definition monitors, and the most innovative technology were touch screen computer monitors. I couldn’t believe the selection available.

I ended up purchasing a middle of the road Compaq monitor. It was a widescreen that was moderately priced. Since I was uncertain about what component of my computer was broken, I decided to start smaller. I brought it home and installed it to my Compaq Hewlett Packard desktop computer and what do you know? It worked fantastically. The screen quality was incredible. Now I could look through my photos and play games on the computer with a clear screen. And for the price, I could not believe that great quality of my
